I am starting a wedding planner business. Do I charge the clients tax on top of the package? I am unsure if I have to pay taxes form this business. If so, shouldn't I add tax and have the clients pay it? It is a service, not a product. Does it matter? It is just me in the company. Thanks!

So I assume that you are based in Australia and I further assume that you are asking whether you need to charge the extra 10% on top for Goods and Services Tax. (maybe I'm wrong - but you will get various answers from other countries and states in America anyway - hopefully one is handy)
Depends how much you believe you will make from this business - is it more than $75000 per year? Not profit, but sales figure. If so, when you register your business (i.e. when applying for Australian Business Number) you need to also register for GST (Goods and Services Tax) and when providing your services, you may want to charge the extra 10%. You may not want to charge the extra 10% - that's entirely up to you. You are however obliged to remit 10% to the Tax Office.
My brother's little shop went from below $75K to above $75K. He had to be registered for GST now and had to remit the 10%, but found out that he couldn't just put 10% on top of his normal sale price - everyone in the area would undercut him that way.
You can also claim the GST from your various purchases (of course, assuming those products are GST-able or the suppliers are registered for GST)
If your turnover is less than $75000 you don't have to worry about the above.
